Barry B. Perlman, MD

Barry B. Perlman, MD, now retired, was the director of the department of psychiatry at Saint Joseph’s Medical Center in Yonkers. He is a past president of the New York State Psychiatric Association, past chair of the New York State Mental Health Services Council and a past member of the State Hospital Review & Planning Council. His memoir, “Rearview: A Psychiatrist Reflects on Practice and Advocacy In a Time of Healthcare System Change,” was published in 2021.
